Experimental Data
Experimental Data
Experimental Data and Experimental Design are used to manage the experimental conditions, including animals used, and to follow measurable data. Experimental Data can be used for any parameter that has a numerical value.
The Mouse Colony Experimental Data module recognizes that different investigators will have very different needs. Therefore, parameters, parameter units and time points or other variables used are completely customizable as you assign the values that suit your experimental conditions. Important, Parameters, Units and Age/Other are global fields, which can migrate to ALL the experimental records for that colony. For example, within Colony A you assign Parameter 1 to glucose, its Unit to g/dl and the Measurements to weeks (W) 3, 4, 5, and 6, these parameters will be the same in all the Experimental Data records for the animals in Colony A.
The data entered here can be analyzed using the “Get Report” link. You can choose the parameters and the animals you want to include in the analysis. Mouse Colony then calculates the Mean ± Standard Deviation, N=number of subjects, as well as the minimum and maximum values grouped by genotype and sex.
